You have found the website of The Audio Guys!
The Audio Guys are an audio outsource company, providing a complete audio solution to game developers and publishers.
With over 25 years combined experience in game audio development, we have well over 150 titles under our belts, covering all gaming formats and platforms. Our previous work has featured on many ‘AAA’ titles over the years, including the Micro Machines, Brian Lara Cricket, TOCA Touring Cars, Colin McRae Rally, Operation Flashpoint, LMA Manager and Race Driver series of titles.
Recently, our work includes Forza Motorsport 3 (Microsoft) , Jambo Safari (Sega), Overlord 2 (Codemasters), Sega Rally (Sega) and Sega Superstars Tennis (Sega) amongst others. Current work includes US football title - Backbreaker (Natural Motion), plus several unannounced titles.
We are experienced and committed game audio developers – far more than a simple outsource solution. We can integrate into your title, in whatever way you require, from full hands on development of audio systems, to just supplying assets, and everything in between.
We are already working on some great titles for 2010…and would be delighted to talk to you about your next project, no matter how big or small.

Racing Games
The Audio Guys specialise in racing game audio, we've been working in the racing genre for well over a decade now.
From Micro Machines to the classic Colin McRae Rally games, TOCA Touring Cars and the Race Driver series, and also the recent arcade remake of Sega Rally (console and arcade).
Recently we've been helping out on the engine work for the acclaimed racer...Forza Motorsport 3!

Sound Design
Lots to say here, as this is what we do best, but we'll try to keep it short and sweet....
Whether it be simple one shot effects for an arcade game, or multi-layered effects as part of a more complex system, then we have experience in it, and know exactly what to do.
In addition, whether it be a fantasy game, sport, racing, RPG, then again, we have experience in it, and know what is required.

Localisation
Games sell better if they are localised - so what languages do you need ?
Localisation can be a dangerous area due to the nature of development – it always happens near the end of a project, therefore it is imperative that this is planned properly, taking into account all the dependencies.
TAG can provide localisation to most languages.
Bespoke Recording
Need to get some sounds recorded off site, but don’t have the resource or equipment to do it ?
We have a wealth of experience in capturing audio assets, as well as having extremely high quality equipment to do it with.
Whether it be a top race car, sports match, natural ambience, dancing trolls or anything else, you can rely on us to provide you with what you need, without having to worry about doing it yourself.
Music
Every title needs music of some description, so where are you getting yours ?
We are not currently composing music ourselves, but have a wealth of knowledge, experience and contacts in this area. First off, we can help you decide what music your title requires.
We would work with you to produce a music ‘flow’ through your title to ensure that the requirements are appropriate.
Dialogue
Most titles require at least some speech...
If you have a clear idea of what you need, then we know where to get the voices, how to get them recorded, and how to get the files back to you, in the format you need.
If you are not sure of what you want, then we can take the worry out of this for you, by suggesting systems, sourcing scriptwriters and helping you define what the game requires.
Audio Design
So you’ve designed your title, but have not fleshed out the audio section yet ?
The audio should be detailed as comprehensively as the rest of the game.
We can take an existing game design, or idea, and build a comprehensive Audio Design document which will detail high level aims & vision, playback systems, in-game memory maps, disk footprints, coding details, audio examples, and much more...
